Author Guidelines
The International Journal of Legal Review and Research (IJLRAR) invites original, unpublished, and high-quality scholarly submissions in the field of law and allied disciplines. Authors are requested to carefully follow the guidelines set out below to ensure a smooth review and publication process.

2. Types of Submissions
The journal accepts the following categories of manuscripts:

- Research Articles 3,000 – 8,000 words
- Short Articles / Essays - 2,000 – 4,000 words
- Case Comments / Legislative Notes -1,500 – 3,000 words
- Book Reviews -1,000 – 2,000 words
3. Originality and Plagiarism Policy
- Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- All manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism detection software.
- The acceptable similarity index must not exceed 15%, excluding references.
- Manuscripts exceeding the plagiarism threshold shall be rejected without review.
4. Submission Format
File Format
- Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format only.
Font & Spacing
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font Size: 12 (main text), 10 (footnotes)
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Alignment: Justified
Margins
5. Citation & Referencing Style
- IJLRAR follows the Bluebook (20th Edition) citation style.
- Footnotes must be used instead of endnotes.
- Authors are responsible for ensuring accuracy and consistency in citations.
6. Abstract & Keywords
- Every manuscript must include an abstract of 150–250 words.
- Provide 3–5 keywords immediately after the abstract.
- The abstract should clearly outline the objective, methodology, and findings of the paper.
7. Anonymity Requirements (Double-Blind Review)
To ensure a fair Double-Blind Peer Review, authors must:
- Remove all identifying information from the manuscript.
- Avoid mentioning name, institution, acknowledgements, or self-referencing details.
- Submit author details in a separate cover file, including:
- Full Name
- Institutional Affiliation
- Designation
- Email Address
- ORCID ID (if available)
8. Peer Review Process
- All submissions undergo a Double-Blind Peer Review.
- Manuscripts are reviewed by two or three independent experts.
- Reviewers evaluate originality, methodology, legal analysis, relevance, and contribution.
- Only manuscripts receiving the required cumulative review score are accepted for publication.
9. Revision & Acceptance
- Authors may be required to revise manuscripts based on reviewer comments.
- Revised submissions must be resubmitted within the stipulated time.
- Final acceptance is subject to editorial approval.
10. Copyright & Open Access Policy
- IJLRAR follows an Open Access Policy.
- Authors retain copyright but grant IJLRAR the right to publish.
- Published articles are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License, permitting free access, distribution, and reproduction with proper citation.
11. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that:
- The manuscript is free from fabricated or falsified data.
- Proper acknowledgment is given to all sources.
- No conflict of interest exists, or if it does, it is clearly disclosed.
- Co-authors have made substantial contributions and consented to submission.
12. Submission Process
- Manuscripts must be submitted via email / online submission portal as prescribed by the journal.
- The subject line should mention:
“Submission – IJLRAR – [Type of Manuscript]”
13. Editorial Discretion
The Editorial Board reserves the right to:
- Reject manuscripts not adhering to guidelines.
- Make minor editorial changes without altering the substance.
- Withdraw articles in case of ethical violations.
